From June to December Walker Bay welcomes some very special visitors. The Southern Right whales migrate from the southern oceans where they feed, to the warmer waters around the southern Cape of South Africa to calve and mate.
Gansbaai offers some of the finest land and boat-based whale watching in the world.

Enjoy...The Southern Right Whale is a large stocky whale. It's skin is usually black to dark grey with white and/or brown patches.These whales reach a maximum length of about 17m and weight of approximately 40 tonnes.
